Anna Ruby Falls is one of the treasures of the Helen, Georgia, area. Anna Ruby Falls is in the Chattachoochee National Forest and is the center piece of the Anna Ruby Falls Recreation Area. There is a $2.00 fee to enter the Recreation Area. The fee can be paid at the Anna Ruby Falls Visitor Center.
Cascade on hike to Anna Ruby Falls
The approximately 1/2 mile trail to Anna Ruby Falls is paved and is an easy walk. The trail follows Smith Creek and there are numerous small waterfalls and cascades that are worth stopping at. This is a hike that you need to take your time on and enjoy. I'm sure that it would be even better in the spring when there is more water in the creek and falls and when the flowers are in bloom. But no matter when you get a chance to visit here, it's worth the time.
